The Washer Agitator Bolt keeps the agitator cycle in your washer performing correctly, and has a rubber gasket and thread sealant. The bolt head is 5/16" diameter. If your washer is making an unusual noise during the wash cycle, the bolt is most likely damaged. To access the bolt, you'll first need to remove the fabric softener dispenser and then the barrier cap. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience.
